Hon. Hassan Bala Abubakar is the All Progressives Congress member representing the Sokoto North/Sokoto South Federal Constituency — the state capital — in the House of Representatives. He is a third-term federal lawmaker and was affirmed by APC in May 2026 as the party’s candidate for 2027. The campaign is for federal representation that reaches both metro councils, working with Governor Ahmad Aliyu, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko and City Boy Movement desks in the 22 wards.
