§ Overview

What this programme is

Hunger is not always chronic — often it is seasonal, arriving between harvests or during festive and emergency periods when prices spike.

Everybody Must Chop delivers food support to the households least able to absorb those shocks, identified through ward committees who know their communities.

§ How it works

Core components

01

Food Distribution

Grain, staples and cooking essentials delivered to vulnerable households.

02

Emergency Response

Rapid support after flooding, displacement or other local emergencies.

03

Seasonal Support

Targeted distribution during Ramadan, festive periods and the lean season.

04

Ward Targeting

Beneficiary lists compiled and verified at ward level for fairness.

§ Getting in

Four steps to benefit

  1. 1

    Ward Listing

Ward committee compiles the vulnerable household list.

  2. 2

    Verification

Cross-checking to prevent duplication and abuse.

  3. 3

    Distribution

Food packages distributed at announced points.

  4. 4

    Reporting

    Distribution records published for accountability.

§ Why it matters

Packages are handed to the woman of the household, because food that reaches the mother reaches the children — keeping them in school and out of hunger.
