I welcome you to the work of the Directorate of Support Group Affairs.
This house was not opened to hold a title. It was opened to hold a file. Under the City Boy Movement and the All Progressives Congress, every group we gazette, every member we put on the platform, and every officer we seat is work for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and the Renewed Hope 2027 project. That is the only reason this Directorate exists.
Where we stand
As at the compiled report of 25 September 2026, Sokoto has more than 17,000 members on the City Boy Movement platform; more than sixty organised support groups on this file, present in all 23 Local Government Areas; and an approved 441-seat officer plan — 13 State seats, 184 LGA officers and 244 ward representatives — which we are filling, not framing. The authoritative master register currently documents 415 posts and their vacancy status.
Six specialist desks are open: Youth and Campus; Women's Networks; Markets, Artisans and Transport; Farmers and Rural Economy; Faith and Traditional; and PWD and Social Inclusion. The public door is live at cityboysokoto.org/supportgroupaffairs. Referral line, where it applies: CBMHU742086OKUY.
The four duties
Our working rule is short. Four duties. One register. Offtake moves through the register.
Duty 1
Register
Open a file for every association, cooperative, union, campus body and community group standing with the Movement.
Duty 2
Verify
Confirm leadership, membership strength, a meeting point that exists, and the wards the group can actually deliver. A WhatsApp broadcast is not a support group.
Duty 3
Coordinate
Issue circulars, convene congresses, and route group needs to the State Director, the Women Leader, Mobilisation and the Organizing Secretariat.
Duty 4
Channel
Put registered groups first in line for the thirteen empowerment programmes of this chapter. File first.
What I expect of this Directorate
I welcome you into a discipline, not a guest list. No bulk dump without LGA and ward. NIN captured wherever the member can produce it; incomplete records flagged, not hidden. Organisation files must name a chair, a secretary, a meeting point and the wards they cover.
The diary now runs whether a camera is in the room or not: LGA Desk Days in all 23 secretariats; the Market Congress in Sokoto North; Women's Networks sittings, LGA then plenary; the PWD inclusion town hall; and the fortnightly EXCO of this Directorate.
This is a build, not a completion certificate. Seats remain vacant on the approved officer plan. Wurno and Yabo ward lists are still being compiled. Programme offtake at scale has not opened. We will not claim tonnage or grant totals we have not delivered. What we will claim is the register — and we will keep it clean enough that command can cut Sokoto by LGA, ward and group type on demand.
The 90 days in front of us
Platform enrolment from 17,000 toward 40,000. Filed groups from 60 toward 120, with at least two verified groups in every LGA. Outstanding seats on the master register completed and reachable. That lattice must be able to feed ward volunteer teams, market congresses, campus cells and faith coalitions across all 244 wards — aligned with Operation 1 Million and Renewed Hope 2027. Women remain the largest class on this file. That is not a slogan. It is a standing order.
