The candidate
Hon. Nasiru Shehu Bodinga (Nasiru Bobo)
Member, House of Representatives — Bodinga/Dange-Shuni/Tureta Federal Constituency, Sokoto State
Hon. Nasiru Shehu Bodinga, known as Nasiru Bobo, was born on 11 March 1988 in Bodinga, Sokoto State. He attended school in Kauran-Miyo and Bodinga, then Sani Dingyadi Unity Secondary School, Farfaru, and took a degree in Political Science at Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto. He worked in trade before the House: vice chairman of the Sokoto State Traders Association, state chairman of IPMAN, and state chairman of the Police Community Relations Committee. In 2023 he won Bodinga/Dange-Shuni/Tureta for APC after a supplementary election (40,994 votes). The House seated him on 13 June 2023. In May 2026 APC stakeholders in Bodinga adopted him for a second term, with the Speaker of the State Assembly and the SSG present. He seeks another term for all three local governments, in support of Governor Ahmad Aliyu and Senator Danbaba.
